Mr. Steiner has co-produced Broadway musicals that have captured Tony Awards: The Producers winner of 12 Tony Awards the most in Broadway history(2001),Big River, which won 7 Tony Awards including Best Musical (1985), Into The Woods (1987), The Secret Garden (1991), and the Grammy Award-winning Best Musical Smokey Joe’s Café (1995), the longest running musical revue in Broadway history (five years). He also co-produced Topdog/Underdog (2002) winner of the 2002 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, and Hairspray (2002). He was also a partner in a number of minor league baseball and hockey teams.
Mr. Steiner has served on numerous business boards and also the boards of the Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, The Ensemble Theater, and the School for Creative and Performing Arts. He is a member of the New York Friars Club, and the League of American Theater Owners and Producers. He is also a winner of 6 Poker Tournaments, including the 1992 7-Stud Hi-Low Event at the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas.
Mr. Steiner holds a BA in Economics from the University of Wisconsin and an MBA in Marketing from the University of Chicago. He and his two children, Ace Harris Steiner and Duke Albert Steiner, reside in Cincinnati, Ohio and Bemidji, Minnestota.
